    Q. I don't like to order online, how can I order a Monroe ID tag?

    A. You may order from a local dealer: We have many dealers located all around the United States. Our Medical Identification tags can be found at many pharmacies, both independently owned, and larger chain stores. Our Pet identification tags can be found at many pet stores, groomers, and veterinary offices. Our Quality House Brass Nameplates can be found at many frame stores.

    Q. Why do I need a Medical Identification tag?

A.A medical identification tag is a helpful product for anyone with non-0bvious medical conditions. If you are ever in need of medical assistance, and cannot speak, our identification tag can help medical personnel in diagnosing, and treating your condition faster. It can make the difference between life & death.

    Q. How do I choose a size for my Medical Identification Bracelet?

A.The easiest way to measure for your new bracelet, is to use a fabric tape measure. If you don't have a fabric measuring tape, you can use a string, or narrow piece of paper. Simply wrap around your wrist in the location your bracelet will be worn, and mark the paper or string where it touches. Measure this length and add 1/2" to the total. The extra 1/2" inch will make it easier to put on and take off.

    Q. How do I open the sister hook on my Bracelet?

A.Sister Hooks open by sliding the two halves apart similar to the way a scissors opens. To see an animation showing a sister hook opening click here

    Q. Can I change the size of my bracelet after I receive my order?

A.Yes! We know mistakes happen, and measuring doesn't always guarantee a good fit. If your bracelet is too long, you may attach at any point in the chain instead of the end, and remove the extra links with a pair of pliers. If your bracelet is too short, you may send it to us to be adjusted to the correct length. Please make sure to include a note showing how much longer you need it to be. We will be happy to add chain and return it to you immediately (We don't charge for the extra chain, or the service to adjust it, but please include $3.00 for return postage).

    Q. Do I have to include my name on my Medical Identification tag?

A.No you do not, however we believe it will help Emergency Personnel provide faster care if you are in need of assistance. Any information included on your tag is by your choice.

    Q. How do I care for my Medical Identification tag?

A.Simply wipe with a damp towel occasionally to keep clean. You can also soak in any hand safe cleaning products without fear of tarnish or damage to the tag. Please note: the red paint may come out of the lettering during cleaning.

    Q. Will the red lettering last forever?

A.Unfortunately no. Stainless Steel is by nature a non-binding surface. The paint will come out of the letters eventually, however the letters will still be readable without it. Exposure to moisture, or cleaning solvents will hasten the removal of the paint.

    Q. Can I get my tag repainted?

A.Yes. If the paint in your tag wears out due to moisture, or age, you may send it to us to be repainted (We don't charge for repainting your tag, but please include $3.00 for return postage). Please understand that all paint will release from stainless steel tags eventually due to the nature of the metal, however we can easily repaint, and if you would like, we can also spray a clear lacquer over the finished tag to help with the longevity of the red paint.
